I have also been told several times by Doctors that I have flat affect , maybe we are just cold heartless emotionless bastards :jester:

You'd think maybe it would deter sarcasm, but obviously it doesn't.

If I hadn't seen so much irrationality in the last couple of years I might believe that. As it stands
I find it hard to believe those who as a whole have been displaying such enormous melodrama are going to bring about any such thing.

Maybe if you didn't have the political perspective of your ~emotional age of 12, you'd better understand the damage trump is doing and why people all over the world are reacting to him the way they are./quote]

Like I've said, too many members have commented on how advanced I am for that to make any sense or be of any value. You're actually the one whom several members have called into question when it comes to maturity and comprehention.

You have an advanced vocabulary.. but you use it to cheer on an orange bigot, sooo..

Many have said over the years that I'm advanced along the lines of maturity and reasoning. And criticizing liberalism has nothing to do with cheering anyone on.

Mmhmm. I see how you operate. If someone agrees with a group and you disagree with them, you tell them to think for themselves. If they have an independent opinion that you disagree with, groupthink is preferable. Same personal bias preferences as almost all people.

They care about immigrants but not emmigrants.

Warren wants to raise the "exit tax" US citizenship renunciation fee.

A consensus doesn't equal groupthink when opinions have been formed and expressed separately and independently.

Empathy, especially empathy with those different than yourself, is a very abstract concept to grasp; it requires the cognitive ability to imagine experience from another's perspective. Jean Piaget once said that this was the hallmark of Stage 4 of child development; the Formal Operations Stage.
Perhaps Conservatives are emotionally still stuck at the Concrete Operations Stage. If so, it's not their fault; they can't help being egocentric, ethnocentric, selfish, racist, nativist, and xenophobic. With the emotional maturity of a ten-year-old, they simply aren't capable of empathy; they can't intellectually grasp the concept.

Or maybe the thought is we shouldn't care more about illegal aliens than our own needy. But why do that when people can toss out words like racist and xenophobe ad nauseum while extolling themselves in the process.

Liberals also have the cognitive capacity to recognize false dichotomies and care about more than one thing at a time.

That might be more evident if they weren't mostly talking about one thing in order to spew out words like racist and xenophobe ad nauseum while extolling themselves in the process.

LOL! You object to the use of the terms "racist" and "xenophobe" in response to a racist and xenophobic rant titled "Why do liberals care more about illegal immigrants?" Perhaps this will help:

rac·ist
/ˈrāsəst/
noun
noun: racist; plural noun: racists
1.
a person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or who believes that a particular race is superior to another.
synonyms:
racial bigot, racialist, xenophobe, chauvinist, (racially) discriminatory, racialist, prejudiced, bigoted, biased, intolerant, illiberal;
adjective
1.
showing or feeling discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or believing that a particular race is superior to another.

xen·o·phobe
/ˈzenəˌfōb,ˈzēnəˌfōb/
noun
noun: xenophobe; plural noun: xenophobes
a person having a dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries.

Did you even read the OP?

Whatever happened to conservatives conserving this tradition: “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” ? :?

Liberals don’t have empathy either then.
Certainly not towards people of different beliefs or gun owners.

Empathy is more about victims, like the victims of gun crime and theocracy.

Yes I did read the OP. I'm glad you mentioned it. Because it seemed like you were judging an OP by its title alone. It seems it's liberals who focus on race when it comes to illegal aliens. I believe (hypothetically speaking of course) if we shared a border with countries where the population was mostly white, like the Balkans, the OP would be asking the same question.

As for xenophobia, having a dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries, what about all the liberal posters from other countries trashing America and Americans? Have you expressed any objection to that?

Have any liberals or democrats called Bill Clinton a racist of xenophobe for his strong words about the problem of illegal aliens? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnOpGI0qRhA

The left goes on and on about race and using terms like "brown people" far more than anyone else. Insisting that the problem of illegal aliens is based on skin color. And plenty of people think it's done for the sake of political posturing.

Not much apparently considering the US receives approximately 1,000,000 legal immigrants per year for an approximate total of 37,000,000.
