Sometimes when I think of songs, I change the lyrics to suit what's going on.
Sometimes they just change in my head automatically.

This is one I'll think about:

Close:

Oh damn, oh damn, oh damn
I dived right in.
I couldn't control it.
Oh damn, oh damn, oh damn
It started with the first whim.
What just happened?
I never really thought I knew what could happen.
It was just beginning.
It wasn't me. It was me. Were you just in it for yourself, and was that you're thing?

I could've wanted. And, I wanted you babe.
But, you fell backwards. And, I didn't ask for space.

Is space just a word invented by someone who's afraid to get too...
close?
I want you. Close.
I thought so. Close?
But, close ain't close, ain't close enough for you now, honey.

Ah man, ah man, ah man,
I got trapped up in this feeling.
Ah man, ah man, ah man,
I took those words from your lips...
It was appealing.
I thought I could control it,
what it is you're asking. What were you telling me?
My mind was telling me the name you were, and it was just evil.

But, I wanted you.
And, I wanted you, babe.
You were going backwards.
Then, you asked for the space.

Is that space just a word invented by you when your not willing to be that
close?
I want you close.
Oh, so close...
But, close ain't close, ain't close. It's not good enough for you now, baby.

I tried. Anyway, it's harder to write down than just write it in my head or sing it.
I may have changed the rhythm too a bit.
It's a work out. Kind of like therapy or art in general.

Art's personal to me. Sometimes, though it's fun taking someone's else's art to see from my perspective. As long as I don't just run with it without permission to sell it.

I wrote this when I was kind of tired.
I just thought it'd be fun to rewrite the lyrics of some songs.

Sunflower:

Oh, hey, hey, hey.
Oh, oo, oo, oo.

Oh, hey, hey, hey.
Oh, oo, oo, oo.

I had a bad day, baby.
I'm a wreck.
Needless to say, I'm trying to keep it in check.
All I try do, trying to make this work.
"Nah, this relationship ain't gonna work."
I go bad, bad. I'm thinking I'm a mess.
I'm trying to care for you.
So, I don't get stressed.
I'm trying to do all this.
I'm trying to make it work.
So, I don't run away from you
and make things worse.
Oo oo ooo, there's some things you just gotta lose.
Oo oo ooo, and, there's some things you just gotta prove.

That you're left in the dust
unless, I stuck by ya.
You're my sunflower.
You won't ever be too much.
And, then, you're left in the dust, unless I stuck by you.
You're the sunflower.
You're the sunflower.

This isn't easy for me.
I'm wanting it easy for me.
"You'll always be there for me?"
It's time to move things forward.

Every time I leave, I hear you calling out.
You're asking me to turn around and not slow down.
Then, I gain the wisdom, to turn around.
Knowing it's easy to not be a lout. Oh!

I'm scared to be alone
I've wanted to make this a real home.
My babe,
if I loose control,
are you gonna be alone?

So, you're left in the dust
unless, I stuck by ya?
You're the sunflower, and
You're love is so much.
And, I'm left in the dust
unless, I stuck by you?
You're the sunflower.
You're my sunflower.
