I'm on the fence as I haven't heard much about it recently. Saw a boy cross dressing in the dress the other day, thought I should look into this new trend

All this hate? Shapiro does make good common sense arguments, that's not saying I agree with everything he says, but it's ok to disagree with people and not hate them. In this particular subject, he is talking about people giving 3 to 4 year old children puberty blockers, that is child abuse. It's fine if you want to transition when you become an adult if that is your decision.

Analyse the situation with common sense. A boy child that may want to dress up like a girl is not a conclusion that the boy will be gay or want to transition once they grow up. It's not wrong to be gay, it's not wrong to transition as an adult, it is very wrong to allow children to make adult decisions. Perhaps we should tell them it's ok to do drugs at 4 years old? Hey, that's what the kid wants to do....

The purpose of the puberty blockers is to allow them to decide whether they wish to transition as an adult. It delays things so they can decide when the time is right.

Sorry but I disagree. Let me point out that all transgenders don't decide to remove their penis, in fact a lot of them don't(Hence the huge market for 'tranny porn') . If you give a child puberty blockers their penis will not grow. Not to mention, how many studies have been done on giving children puberty blockers and analyzing how it effects their mental health once the become adults? I'm assuming not much data exists as this outbreak of insanity is fairly new. I'll clarify, transitioning as an adult is not insane, giving a child that option is.

What happens when this child grows up and is straight and like women yet has a child size penis? I assume that would affect their sex life dramatically. Same scenario but gay and wishes their penis wasn't child sized? Same scenario but they wish to transition yet keep their penis?

Giordano then turns to concerns about the safety of what is still an experimental treatment. First, are we putting children at risk for short- or long-term adverse events? It is worthwhile to note that exogenous continuous GnRH administration is the standard of care for the treatment of precocious puberty, and its safety and efficacy have been extensively studied [11]

But answer this question because this is the information I have heard from a transgender that still has her penis, puberty blockers radically reduce growth of the penis. Sorry, I had edited, look at the scenarios I have placed out.

f**k him anyway, there's no nuance, just transphobia. So what if a kid wears a dress? It's a freaking piece of cloth.

We aren't talking about a dress, we are talking about giving children puberty blockers. Call me crazy but i suspect puberty is an important part of children transitioning into adults, so how can anyone claim children should be able to make the decision to stop that process? Or for that matter their parents can even make that decision for them? What happens when this boy grows into an adult and wishes his doctors and parents didn't ruin his life by giving him puberty blockers? What, we try to reverse the process that should have never taken place to begin with?

More than likely, that transgender person you know is under HRT, or hormone replacement therapy, which means she has made the decision to transition and is off puberty blockers. You are seeing the effect of HRT.

All sorts of meds are prescribed to kids these days. Are you saying we shouldn't prescribe anti-psychotic meds until people become adults?

What are you talking about? Do puberty blockers reduce penis size or not? She is a transgender that has a huge penis and that is what she prefers as many transgender women also prefer. (She specifically stated that)

Don't take my word for it, this is one of many transgenders that don't like the idea of people giving children puberty blockers that prevent their penis from growing.

I find it impossible to accurately answer questions when you edit your previous posts to something else. Just one of my Aspie quirks.

I'm sorry, I will try to not do that. I think of more things to say after I post and don't want to stream a lot of posts. The question is there. I feel it should be pretty obvious that it's not an intelligent move to put a child on puberty blockers

It reduces penis growth. It causes a child to not experience puberty when transitioning into an adult. This child may grow up to be straight, gay, or transgender and wish their penis wasn't child sized. It is far more damaging than helpful, that should be obvious.

It's a straw man. Any reputable doctor would recommend delaying any transition until puberty.

No, it's not a straw man and no, any doctor wouldn't recommend it. I've heard many doctors say it's not an intelligent decision. It's obvious that humans go through puberty for very good reasons. What people are going to do is end up ruining millions of lives by irrationally deciding to give children puberty blockers. It makes no sense at all. It's no different from suggesting all children should be on puberty blockers. Children are curious, their brain hasn't fully developed, in fact it doesn't fully develop until around age 25. They try all kinds of things as they are growing, suggesting that a boy child that will get curious or just play and put on a dress is going to grow up and be homosexual or wish to be a transgender is irrationally jumping to conclusions and puberty blockers are going to damage every child's life that grows up wishing they weren't given puberty blockers that prevented them from penis growth or breast growth. People that are on board with this aren't thinking rationally. What if 80% of boy children grew up and wish their penis had grown for various reasons, straight, gay or transgender with a penis? You don't think people may be jumping the gun in making conclusions based on curiosity of children?
