Are more ads now a part of the site?

I know the ones on the page are normal.
But, I've recently been having at times one show up at the bottom of my screen in a little sliver of space.

Yes. I’ve been seeing this too and I don’t like it. Ad blockers don’t seem to be stopping them.

Have you updated your ad-blockers lately?

I have ad-block plus and don't see any ads. My indicator says 9 ads are currently being blocked.

Downloaded a new ad blocker that seems to be working. Interestingly the ads were only showing up on some sub forums. The general discussions were clear, but the Haven, Love and Dating and PPR always had the ad strip along the bottom of the page.

The forums that you list contain malvertising scripts.
I reported this in October of last year, in this thread:
viewtopic.php?t=369517

The ad blocker will only hide the advert iframe after the script has been allowed to execute.
A script blocker will stop the script from executing and dynamically creating the advertising iframes,
increasing page load times.

ublock origin and adblock plus both block all the ads on all of my systems.
The kind of people that would visit a website like this, are the kind that really need those plugins. The ads here tend to be... Rather bad.

Oddly enough, I've created 3 accounts in total for this website on fresh emails since like ~2012.
Each fresh email has somehow been added to spamlists after I register here. They're used for nothing but this websites registration and are typically random (fdjsfslgowi@blahblahETC)
