I always liked the New Zealand kiwi stamps. I think I had some of these old ones when I was a kid.

Happy Constitution Day! (For a few more minutes at least.)

Yes! Before Mussolini gave it a bad name, the fasces was a common symbol for national unity throughout the West. Perhaps the best known US example is the beautiful reverse of the old Mercury dimes:

Anyone have pre-Fascist examples on stamps/coins from other countries?

Ahhh, circular stamps. I wish I had some of those.

I have a few triangular stamps, I'll have to find my albums and have a look to see where they're from.

I also have some German stamps with Hitler on them. I bought them in an album at a stamp fair long ago. The stamp fair itself was weird - full of old men. Nice old men though. No women around my age.

I've been collecting stamps since I was about 11.

A beautiful series, the Overrun Countries Series of 1943/44, to honor the nations then under occupation by the Axis powers.

I was afraid someone would eventually post the stamp dedicated to me.
