Are there any good hotlines in the USA that are for emotionally distressed people that need to talk it out?
Not suicidal hotlines, just for emotional crisis?

Here's a list of Warmlines for non-crisis mental health support. There isn't one in Tennessee although it looks like three are listed as nationwide: In CA, WA & NY. I've used my local warmline sometimes and found it to be helpful.

Edit: You can call a crisis number if you need to talk to someone regardless of whether or not you are suicidal. I have done that when I was very upset.
