I'm aromantic and asexual, and have yet to meet anyone else like me in real life, whether on the spectrum or not. I feel kind of invisible sometimes. Are there any other aspie/autistics here who identify as aro, ace or both?

Mostly-ace here. I used to be sexual, but years ago I re-evaluated my relationship to sex and realized I was pursuing it for reasons that felt unhealthy to me: I was using it as an outlet for emotional intimacy and nonsexual physical touch, and it was frustratingly ill-suited to those. Once I realized that and started seeking those things directly I got a lot happier. These days I'm sorta curious about trying it again with a partner, but it also sorta freaks me out, so I dunno if I ever will.

Nobody wants to date me.

They find me annoying

Likewise vice versa

Too much social rejection to attempt friendships, much less romance

My sister identifies herself as asexual, but am not sure if she is on the spectrum even though she exhibits some traits associated with people who are Aspies.

Totally opposed to sexuality and "romance" on philosophical and moral grounds.

The origin of my sexuality is a bit muddled. I've always been repulsed at the idea of seeing a man naked (even uncomfortable around other women, despite having been taken to many nudist locations as a child). I don't know if I feel this way because it's how I was born, or because at the age of four, I experienced some things that would, once I grew up and fully understood what had happened, cause me to develop PTSD. I don't know if my asexuality is organic or induced, all I know is that the idea of seeing a disrobed male in any capacity at this point in my life fills me with severe anxiety and fear.

I'm Ace, not really aro, but I can handle not being in a relationship. I had actually considered starting a thread like this myself, because I thought it might be nice to see if there are others here like me. I haven't really met anyone else who identifies as either yet as well.

I'm ace as well. I was never interested in having sex, and I probably shouldn't be at the moment considering I'm only 15 and I'm on Accutane. (Accutane causes severe birth defects in unborn babies, so female patients have to do a monthly pregnancy test, take a VERY tricky quiz online, and be on birth control pills.)

Ace but definitely not aro. I'm actively trying to find relationships, don't know where to look so I'm sort of stuck.

I'm definitely ace, most likely demisexual. I'm definitely not aro, though.

When I was 21, used to be attracted to mister redelings

He told me off

Homophobic

Since then no crushes

It's weird

Gay and straight are not too different

Straight and asexual are different

36 right now

But whatever

,6 personality disorders

Homophobia

No job or job skills or future

Nobody will want me

So what?

Got better things to worry about

Not just men

I've known I'm ace ever since I was a kid.

Aromantic though, I'm not exactly sure. I haven't been in a relationship since my husband and I separated. That was nine years ago. I'm doing pretty well without any affection. The thought of kissing someone has gradually become more icky over time.

Not sure if I'm exactly aromantic, maybe I'm at most terms where it matters. Never had a crush, never want a boyfriend, never dreamed of marriage, etc.
I'm more like disinterested with the social idea of the romantic relationship itself than of that emotional intimacy, connections and things deeper than that.

But I'm most certain that I'm asexual.
