If your mind was an island, what would it look like?

I don't know if I'd be an island in the ocean or a lake. That changes everything.

It would be a place that would have everything on it. It would be like a miniature world where the inhabitant would have little want for going anywhere else.

It would likely be an island with cats. Cats are always on my mind.

At first I thinking Neverland, because it's actually a living island that can move, change its size and shape, and decide whether or not anyone from the outside world should be allowed to enter it (I like that last part best). But I'm worried people will compare me to Micheal Jackson. 8O

Maybe it would be like Disney World, except it would have *my* cartoon characters and they would be real and not just people in costumes.

I keep remembering a tourist couple who stopped me some years ago, asking where was east. I told them that in Montreal, north is up the hill if you're downtown (this is true). The husband was grouchy and frowned at the sun, which appeared to be setting in the NE. I told him Montreal is an island plunked crooked in the river; there are no rules so long as we can communicate; visitors will stay lost if they look for rules.

Maybe that's what I would be if I was an island. Off-centre, slightly skewed, no rules, sunsets glorious wherever they are.

All I know is that if my mind were an island, it wouldn't be a man.

My island would be desolate and underwater.

Rather isolated and cold were the first things that came to my mind.

It'd be surrounded by reefs making it impossible to reach for others, and the outer rims would be steep cliffs further making it impossible to enter.

Inside of that would be a protected paradise where I find peace and entertainment with my loved ones, and selected animals.
