Yes he mentioned Asia because of his business interests in the region.

One irony is that Trump selectively hires Haitians in his resorts

Do people ever stop and think that what someone "reportedly" said is possibly inaccurate or even untrue? And that highly partisan sources might be skewing or spinning things? And it seems like this is all they can come up with considering how often it gets repeated.

Well the original source for Trump predominantly employing Haitians in his gold resorts (It's still unbelievable he calls them undesirables) is the New Yorker who quoted Dr Giovanni Peri, an economist at the University of California, Davis, who studies labor and immigration specialising in HB-2 and HB-1 visas. Pretty reliable source really.

On the other matter of Trump saying nice things about Asian immigrants - more specifically Japanese - he has shares in the Japanese stock market (despite his America first BS) according to Forbes...again fairly reliable source

right-wing terrorist and mail bomber Cesar Sayoc mentioned Trump.
right-wing terrorist and synagogue shooter Robert Bowers mentioned Trump.
right-wing terrorist and Coast Guard lieutenant Christopher Paul Hasson mentioned Trump.
right-wing terrorist and mass murderer Brenton Tarrant mentioned Trump.

It's almost as if there's a pattern developing here.

I guess it doesn't matter how reliable the source of the information is, if someone just doesn't want to hear the content of the information. No matter what incontrovertible proof you put in front of them, it's all "hysterical lefties whining about Trump unfairly based on nothing" because they've already decided that's what it is and no actual evidence will factor into or sway their perception. Trump seems to have this effect on people's ability to think on a very large scale.

I was talking about things he reportedly said. That's just another way of saying was rumored to have said. I'd have the same opinion no matter who it was. Perhaps, just perhaps, the reason why he hires Haitians, despite calling them undesirable or whatever, seems like a conundrum, is because he didn't actually say whatever he reportedly said.

And I get it, if he likes Asians, it's out of greed and duplicity or whatever. If he likes Norwegians, it's because he's a nazi.

Replace the word "supporters" with "haters" in this meme, and it would be equally correct.

Unfortunately, you are only focused on a small symptom of the problem. Partisan politics robs people of their critical thinking skills. You can spend all day bashing trump, but you are only bashing a symptom. You are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. The kind of rhetoric you are peddling is maintaining the political status quo, which gave us Trump.

Yep. And calling people names won't do anything, it will just make things worse. The current left can't win with policies because they don't have any.

You mean like calling people liars and telling them the feelings they are expressing are fake? That kind of name calling and partisanship?

Which is why I won't respond to the attack and have this thread derailed.

Please stop threatening me with having my threads locked. That's the second time you've done that to me recently, and it's not cool at all. Doing it repeatedly could be seen as an attempt to bully someone to keep them quiet. I won't be silenced, if you get this thread locked I'll make another. You guys aren't going to bully me off this forum with your concerted group attacks on me. Please grow up and leave behind this schoolyard bullying type behaviour, it's beneath everyone here.

To me, all that does is point out the stupidity of people in general. Terrorist attacks, people who feel that they carry out their attacks in the name of a man who has repeatedly demonized them = stupidity of the person who commits the act of terrorism on so many levels it's pathetic. Perhaps they get the idea that Trump supports them from the repeated false accusations of the left insisting Trump stands for white supremacy and racism?

Just to point out the stupidity of people, look at the radical left saying that Chelsea Clinton caused the shooting by condemning discrimination.

How could I possibly threaten to have this thread locked when I have no power whatsoever to have a thread locked? Just pointing out the results of what happens when threads are derailed by bickering and personal attacks, to hopefully discourage further bickering and personal attacks.

This thread will be locked if the bickering continues.
