In the past, I had put my age in my signature rather than letting the forum know my birthday because I thought giving away the exact date is too strong a clue on my real world name.

But then it occurred to me that the date I put doesn't have to be exactly accurate. So today, I put a date in that is correct for the year and month, but false for the date, thus allowing the forum to display something that's close to accurate for my age (plus or minus less than a month).

But...even after I put in a date, it's still not showing my age. Is there some trick to making it show? It says mm/dd/yyyy, which is the format I used. Anything else?

Thanks! That did it!

Interestingly, what it says is in fact doubly wrong.

It says mm/dd/yyyy, and what it wants is dd-mm-yyyy.

Me & some other members have noticed that. There have been at least a few threads by newbs who don't realize that the fields have to be swapped so it's great you figured it out. There's lots of glitches on this site unfortunately that need to get fixed.
