I'm not the biggest spacegame fan but Metroid has some fantastic music, Star Fox has good music as well but it mostly it feels superficial, it mostly consists of shooting things but in Metroid you're the music makes you feel like the environment you're around (Metroid Prime, check it out, amazing game).

I LOVE video game music! I have tons from Megaman to Metroid, Fire Emblem, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy, my list could go on for a while. Listening to Sonic music does bring me nostalgia especially from Sonic 1 Green Hill.
