Got diagnosed today!

I had a three and a half hour long assessment, and the psychologist said I’m autistic (in his words, I have “classic aspergers” if it were still diagnosed here) have adhd and social anxiety. I’m just incredibly relieved to finally be diagnosed with ASD, because I have had past diagnoses of adhd and social anxiety. :D

I know it's a relief that you can make sense out of yourself.

I find this a lot in many recently diagnosed people. I can understand the relief.

It's frustrating not knowing "why."

Getting an ASD diagnosis when you most suspect it can be a HUGE relief.

You're absolutely right. I didn't realize how much anxiety not knowing was causing me until I got the diagnosis.

Yay! I am happy for you! I am thinking of getting a diagnosis myself. I have had huge amounts of anxiety the past couple months after learning about me probably being autistic (said by a specialist in adult autism). I think having the official diagnosis might help me a lot.
