Why is no one putting 2 & 2 together? People who hide their taxes are probably tax evaders. The richer anyone is, the less likely they pay their share.

This is not a way to weaponize the IRS, they already did that themselves. This is about the fact that a president who doesn't contribute to their own government is unacceptable.

I wouldn’t disclose my tax returns. I’m a private person.
Will you disclose yours?

Every President, since at least Reagan (if not before) has disclosed his tax returns.

Public figures have a little less "right" to privacy than "regular" people.

Is the IRS finding any problems with Trump's tax returns? They usually do find problems when someone is committing tax evasion and tax fraud.

Are you serious!? I guess this isn't as visible on the west coast but tax havens are the de-facto M.O. for anyone of Trump's status. Look at some yaghts' ports of origin in the Hamptons; almost none of them will be American.

Rich Americans are as rich as they are because they don't care about public infrastructure & certainly not anyone else's income. Trump is only wealthy vis a vis exclusivity. If he stopped excluding the poor from gambling, he would go bankrupt.

Tax evasion is almost a given in this case. The guy temporarily lowered some people's taxes to distract from the overwhelming likelihood he does not pay enough.

Bernie’s rich so do you think the same of him? What about all the rich democrats? Bill gates? Bloomberg? Rich democrat politicians?
Why the sole focus on trump?

Because he's the most powerful person on Earth right now?

I can't decipher a lot of what you're saying. For instance, "excluding the poor from gambling"? I'm from Las Vegas, poor people are encouraged to gamble. South Fremont street which turns into Boulder hwy is lined with zillions of cheap motels.

I see news stories about rich people getting nailed by the IRS all the time.

Sure but they aren't old money rich people. Tax evasion pretty much goes without saying where people of Trump's status are concerned. They register 100 foot party boats in the Caribbean while using them off New York.

For that matter, if I were the IRS, I would be terrified to release Trump's audit. The guy employs an army of vicious lawyers paid in blank checks.

When it comes to casinos, there is a very small section set aside for high stakes gambling. The big money comes from all those trying to strike it rich, which is why most of the floor space is filled with slot machines.

If Donald Trump had been found doing anything illegal regarding his taxes when being audited, the IRS would have nailed him for it.

I'm thinking most federal agencies are too scared of this administration to do that.

They didn't seem too scared to probe this administration for over two years.

Is the idea that they were investigating him for years even though if they found something they would be too afraid to do anything about it?

...DJT is the PRESIDENT. None of the other people you " whatabout " are,, or (at this point, anyhow) even candidates. Actually, any questions of literal provable-in-court crookedness aside, it has often been speculated that DJT may be both not as rich and his riches built on less secure footing than he has led people to believe, and releasing his returns would show that 8O  !

When people like Sanders and Warren talking about paying one's "fair share", how do they define it?
