His father was the famous poet Mark Van Doren.

Charles was at the center of the "quiz show scandals." He wasn't a bad guy, though.

Me too. I have always been fascinated with game shows, to the point where I have developed a classic TV/radio announcer voice. Though it has created an issue with voice volume control.
