i've had mine shoulder length or longer [off and on] for most of my juvenile and adult life, with the exception of 4 years stuck in Uncle Sam's Army where they made me [appear to*] keep it short. i'm just curious about how the rest of y'all wear your hair. :afro:

*i slicked it down with goop during the duty day then washed it out after duty hours when all the brass went home.

I guess mine is medium . Since I've lived here near my stepdaughter she basically says when it's time for me to have a haircut .

alternates. Long to short. Get more compliments when it's short. So will prolly keep towards the short side.

Short hair and I get a haircut whenever it becomes too long to be combed.

I got my hair cut a while back & I got it military buzz short which I always do but I don't get it cut again till it starts getting longish like starting to go over my ears & collar. I voted for the option it currently is & I get cut.

I don't like getting haircuts so it's long and shaggy.

Short. #2 clipper attachment on the sides and back and short on the top, but not so short that it stands up.

do you taper to a vanishing point, or do you taper and square it off?

I'm 59 years old. My driver's license needs an option for "invisible."

when i was a civil servant, i used a Flowbee on my hair to keep it looking somewhat professional. i would use the taper attachment on the sides and back, then square it off with a regular edge trimmer. used the 2" adapter for the top hair. now and then i'd get a perm and dispense with the haircuts for a few months until it was shaggy.

Down-my-back long for most of my adult life - it probably looks ridiculous to people these days, now that I've lost it all on top, but I never really did care about that kind of thing. I've never visited a barber's in my life. I could just about cope with my Mum cutting it when I was a kid, but the idea of a stranger standing behind me and touching my head, I find a bit too freaky.
