Everyone is leaving but I'm still with you.

(Pinkard & Bowden parody of "the highwayman")

i was a froggy
and a'courtin' i did ride
with sword and pistol by my side

me and this mousey had a thing you won't believe
many a tadpole wound up with a taste for cheese
some bastard gigged me leg one night down by the pond
now my legs are gone

i was a sailcat
got run over by a truck
the neighbor's cat has all the luck

i'd crossed that street at least a thousand times before
now there ain't no way that i can cross it anymore
unless some young kid picks me up and lets me fly
but i still 8 lives

i was a dam builder
a furry beaver don'cha see?
look what those trappers did to me

they tore my skin off just to make a lady's suit
it seems like ladies would think beavers were too cute
they didn't bury me, they left me on the ground
and i am still around

for weeks i'll be around and around and around .....

i drive an airboat
across that louisiana swamp
late last night i hit a stump

they said they found me with a frog leg in my hand
i hope i don't become no froggie once again
with my luck i'll become a single grain of sand
and guess just where i land?

in the catbox once again, and again, and again....
