Since 2016, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Opens a New Window. has been projecting the fastest-declining occupations in the U.S. by 2026. Earlier this month, the agency updated its statistics to give job seekers a more recent look at how certain industries are doing — in terms of salary and projected growth.

Here's a list of the 25 occupations (in order) that will be hit the hardest by 2026.

granted your post is not aimed at me specifically, but data entry clerk, is about "As Good as it Gets" for me. Because I have zero job skills. No STEM degree

A lot of those jobs

They all have angry customers

Sales jobs have quotas

Dang! I had been counting on a late-life career change to locomotive firer.

Don't know what I will do, now.

Sadly, the list includes quite a few job which really suit me and which I really suit. My happiest employment has always been building things and running machine tools; but the steady decline in manufacturing jobs has been very clear since I hit working age. I think sometimes that I was born in the wrong era - employment in the modern service industry economy just doesn't suit me at all.
