4th grader spontaneously opens up to classmates about autism in viral video
My peers were not remotely like these kids when I was in 4th grade.

If I knew that I was autistic at the age of 10, I would have done the same thing.

If I had done this in Year 4, there would have been no end of bullying. The kids in the video were not like the kids I went to school with. 8O

Not like the ones I grew up with either. I hope it was not an act for the cameras and the teacher and they don’t bully him off campus.

If i had known i was autistic at this age, kids still would have bullied me. It makes me happy that the newer generations are becoming more accepting of atypical people, though.

I like to think kids are like that today in being more accepting. That's a major shift from when I was a kid.

Had I done this in primary school, I would have been relentlessly bullied and ostracised.
Go kiddo!!
