I think "Boyhood" is such a good movie. It's clever how they made the same actors grow up in the same movie over a period of about 12 years. It's one of those movies where you've got to watch it twice to get the storyline, but it's still a super cool movie.

Anyone else seen this movie? What did you think?

I like Richard Linklater's films a lot, but 'Boyhood''s not one of my favorites of his. It's not a bad movie at all, I guess it's pretty good, but it's not one I would put before 'Slacker', 'Dazed and Confused' or the 'Before' trilogy. Then again, I think a lot of people were initially let down simply because of the massive hype around it; when you go into a movie knowing it took 12 years to make, you inevitably have very high expectations.

Regardless if one liked Boyhood or not, Richard Linklater should be admired for having a lot of patience for taking the course of 12 years to make this film.

I liked Boyhood, but it's hard to say if Boyhood is his best film given that I have not watched all of his works.

Have you ever watched Tape, another of Linklater's works? It's a good movie and if you haven't but will at some point, think of Tape as Dazed & Confused but set ten years later.

I know of it, but I haven't seen it.
