I'm thinking of giving temporary custody of my son to my brother and sister-in-law while I go find a place.
Any thoughts?
I'm going to Juvenile Court to ask about it.
Anyone done this before and got his/her children back?

Have they criticized how you raise your boy?

I feel like babies need stability.

But are you homeless now?

She thought I was neglecting him a little.
But, I think it was just cause she was mad at me.

Why do you want to handle this in court?

Could you just have them watch him for a week or two instead?

And, the fact my sensory issues caused me to want to move, and I couldn't find a place in time.

It's going to take more than a week to find a place.
Also, I'm thinking of moving to another state to start over.

I think I've found someone to do legal guardianship. My brother and his wife wanted open adoption. I'm not willing to give him up.
If I did, not to my family.

You can give someone temporary guardianship of your kid Im pretty sure. My bothers friend stayed with us for a summer once and my mother was technically his legal guardian while he was here. Some sort of paperwork Im not really sure.

Since, I was going to give him to someone else, my brother petitioned for temporary custody. It was what I asked them to do in the first place.
Now I have a chance at getting him back instead of adoption.
They did it because they didn't want me to give him to another person out of the family.
If I get the 4 things I need, home, job, mental health help, and stability for a bit then I will get him back.

I do so hope and pray that everything is sorted for you and your son, and that you will both share a blessed future together with no worries and healings etc. I pray for everything you need.

My family promised no more than temporary custody.

Has anyone here had to work to get custody back of his/her child?
