Anybody think that the pain of dying can be alluded to the pain of childbirth? Not that I would know since I have no uterus.

When women go through the pain of childbirth, new life is created.

Perhaps when we all go through the pain and suffering of dying, we too experience another new life? The afterlife in the next world?

We will all die someday, and perhaps that pain of dying serves to remind us of what our own mothers went through to help create us? Talk about 'sympathy pains' right?

Humans are not well-adapted to childbirth.

There is a theory that the pertinent childbirth anatomy was sacrificed for the sake of bipedal walking in the savanna.

Many women died in childbirth until the advent of modern medicine.

Yes, humans are the only mammal species in which childbirth is so traumatic for the birth giver.

Women still do die in childbirth. I wasn’t that far away from that reality myself. It was still a beautiful experience that I remember fondly, though.

That was one of the results of the Fall, and of us being tossed out of the Garden.

Women would have to give birth in agony from then on.

Freud believed, in essence, that we had a "will to die," so to speak, from the time of birth.

I still find it interesting how women bare the pain of creating life, a pain that can actually cause them or their unborn babies to die from the trauma of it all, and we ourselves are all doomed to die.

Some of us are lucky and die quickly or in our sleep, but most of the time it feels like there is some form of suffering that comes with dying either by being killed by another human, being killed in an accident, or suffering an illness.

Pain is the common link between life and death.

But perhaps something better waits for us after the pain of dying?

Either a new life in the next world.

Or an eternal peaceful sleep with no more worries.

During childbirth, the pain is somewhat reduced by the excitement of meeting a cute and cuddly new little person.

Going into labor is terrifying but it’s exciting, too.

I want to feel good when I die. I don't want to feel pain.

My dad probably felt suffocated when he died. I didn't want him to die like that.
