I really don't feel that way.

I don't see any relationship between childbirth and death.

Maybe I'm not a "spiritual" person. I don't know.

Anybody think that the pain of dying can be alluded to the pain of childbirth? Not that I would know since I have no uterus. :P

When women go through the pain of childbirth, new life is created.

Perhaps when we all go through the pain and suffering of dying, we too experience another new life? The afterlife in the next world?

We will all die someday, and perhaps that pain of dying serves to remind us of what our own mothers went through to help create us? Talk about 'sympathy pains' right?

Here's an interesting little speech about that:

Very interesting scene! :chin:

What movie is that?

The Brave (1997). An obscure and unusual movie.

Humans are not well-adapted to childbirth.

There is a theory that the pertinent childbirth anatomy was sacrificed for the sake of bipedal walking in the savanna.

Many women died in childbirth until the advent of modern medicine.

Bipedal ambulation and our giant heads, that we need to house our giant brains, do not mix particularly well.

Us humans are so fragile compared to other mammals and yet we can adapt to almost anything for survival.

The bull rules the land.

The eagle rules the sky.

The lion rules the beasts.

And the human rules wisdom.

I want to believe that no matter what we do in this life or what we believe in, we are all headed to the same place when we die. Even if that place is nothing but an eternal unconscience sleep. At least there will be no more pain for us.

Death is the great equalizer. :skull:

Two sides of the same coin?

Childbirth is the beginning of a new life, death is the end of it. I'd say that's a pretty solid relationship.

I wonder if reincarnation is real? I was told by a psychic that I was a POW in the Crimean War in a past life. :chin:

just like that old country song, i was my own paternal grandmother who passed on 4 years before i was born. before that i was a rich blond playboy cad, who lived in the late 19th century, who committed suicide. before that in the early 19th century i was a prisoner in some Latin or spanish place whose short and brutal lifetime could not have been more opposite to that of the rich blond playboy cad.
