I think it's high time I quit obsessing on this show.

The way it ended was horrible. :|

Game Of Thrones teached me to never vote for a series in IMDB until that series is over. Something perfect can end in something mediocre (at least). It was an absurd disappointment.

I also didn't like the ending at all. By the way, I've recently read that Game of Thrones prequel TV show will release in 2020-2021. Are you looking forward to seeing it?

Not really.

To be honest I hated all the rape, torturous violence, and psychological abusing in Game of Thrones. It disturbed the hell out of me, especially whenever I'd hear fans tell me "That's not evil! Define evil?" :|

I did however like the many themes, symbolisms and metaphors of the show. I loved the soundtrack too. Also the show did have some interesting strong female characters fighting in a very sexist world ruled by men. Like Arya, Sansa, Daenerys (before they ruined her in the end), Cersei, Margaery, Lady Olenna, and Milisendra. (The lost wolves, the mother lioness, the dragon mother, the rose and the thorns, and the fire lady).

But yeah, the show was overrated. It started off good but fans were quick to call it the greatest show ever before it officially finished. In the end it was ruined by bad writing. :(

But honestly, no matter how good some of the acting and writing was, when it gets down to it shows like Game of Thrones and Frontier and Spartacus feel like torture porn. A lot of hardcore violence and boobs. :|

i just couldn't handle all that cruelty. why revel in fictional depictions of such when there is more than enough in real life?

Yeah... people are so strange.

I mean, I like classic horror movies. But even those horror movies I enjoy don't compare to the disturbing s**t in these TV shows. :|

The cheesiness of those old horror movies them more innocent in a way. :)

I'm currently watching Night of the Living Dead. Best zombie movie ever! 8)

I think a lot of it has to do with my obsessive personality.

I must be one of the few people who is okay with the ending. To me it was unpredictable which made it a good ending. Not spectacular but alright.

I feel like the show was nothing but torture porn in a fantasy setting. In every episode people are always getting brutally killed or raped. Even little kids.

I don't like the fact that the show relied too much on shock value. And as part of the fantasy genre compared to something like The Lord of the Rings it felt inferior and grossly overrated.

That is definitely a big difference I have noted between GOT and LOTR. I think the books and show would have done just fine with at least less of all that.
