I don't know why I do this, but I was looking at Heartless Aspergers this morning. What a group of twisted, angry, borderline psychopathic twats those (mostly) women are. This took the cake for me:

"Abusers make this world a hard place to live. They are malicious , touting as good, touting as doing things for the cause blah blah blah. No, they are abusers. They are tyrants...and I would bet most are AS. Look at crazy Hitler, or Charles Manson, sure they were sociopaths, psychopaths and the like,but I bet they were AS first, given concessions throughout life, given free passes because no one wanted to tell them no in their younger years."

Looking at some of their posts where they discuss their pasts, these women were damaged well before they met their supposed Asperger husbands

I think those marriages are very unfortunate.
I feel sorry for them.
Sometimes diagnosable conditions - including Asperger's - serve as "identified patient" so the unhealthy system of the whole family remains undiagnosed and untreated.

after reading the vitriol, I don't feel sorry. If they despise their husbands, leave. Many of them are women married decades, kids are gone, etc. Get out of your marriage or shut up.

Why in the world do you bother looking into these sites, and why in the world do you worry about what those fools think????

Ques 2: I loathe the self righteous and bullies. They inflict damage on others while claiming to be "empaths" and "saints" (yup, that's an actual claim).

I wish Righteous Indignation would be enough to get rid of these sorts of sites.

What I believe: if we had an "ignore-a-thon," all these sorts of sites would just disappear from sheer lack of action.

The small number of ppl on that site- maybe about a dozen- does make their shrillness worthy of being ignored. It's certainly not a mass movement. But just they way they describe how they abuse, humiliate, and "take revenge" on their spouses and they claim what good people they are...the irony is lost on them.

An emotionally unstable person harms others and suffers themself. I do feel sorry for the suffering of both.

But why go to this kind of sites in the first place? What are my intentions when visiting strange depths of the internet?

Just be careful not to become one.
We all need to be very careful in this. It's way easier than it seems.

Luckily I'm very fastidious about living by what I believe and say. Call it my personal code, I guess.

"Heartless Aspergers" is only the most extreme of several other similar sites I've come across. Judging by its whois record, it would appear that this site was created only relatively recently, in 2016. The other similar sites are all much older.

The site does contain one valid complaint: a vast shortage of ASD-aware couples counseling. There is still a shortage of ASD-adult-aware psychotherapy services of any kind, including counseling of autistic/allistic couples.
