I suspect simply planting trees will not be enough.

true...I think humanity will have to jointly develop new ways to sequester carbon

Yeah but it seems we pretty much have to go to zero emissions and then negative emissions. So yeah the carbon has to be sucked out of the air somehow but we also have to stop putting so much in.

I mean humanity is not lost yet, we have ways we can address the problem...the thing is will we do it soon enough? Like humans are the variable in this experiment the action we take determines the future. Like for once can't people listen to the goddamn scientists.

Maybe 10% of the weapons budget would be enough to develop a suitable carbon sequestering machine
