In order to access a certain section of this site (no prizes...), it seems that members have to enter their date of birth in their profile, to establish that they're over 17. If one does this, how does one prevent confidential details like one's age appearing on posts? Presumably some people enter absurd dates, which give ages like 3 or 446, in order to preserve their privacy, but quite a few others seem to be able to keep their age private and still access the over 17 section. I'd be interested to see how this is achieved, as there isn't an obvious way of doing it in the user profile section.

If I could tell you how I did it, I would.
But I have no idea.
Hope that's helpful.

As the Tesco supermarket slogan in this country goes, "Every little helps". 8)

I did put a ridiculous age in at some point.
Then I deleted it.
Maybe try that?
Who knows?

Nobody cares that you're 90 years old.

You've still got a good head of hair haven't you?

I'm looking! I used to have my age and I removed it somehow, so there must be an option? My birthdate is listed in my profile. Maybe ask the guy in the leopard-print vest.

I've just took my DOB off and I'm still getting access all areas.

Maybe once the system knows how old you are for a short while you can then delete these details.

Personally I couldn't give a fck if people know how old I am.

I have my birth date listed in my profile but no age is listed for some reason.
