Many Jews have turned up to protest migrant camps

Jews by the thousands over the past couple weeks have turned up to protest the concentration camps holding migrants, and many of them have been arrested. Many of them are descended from Holocaust survivors, and they remind us of the need to remember that we shouldn't just remember the Holocaust by how it ended, but also by how it began, and what's going on now has many parallels with how the Holocaust began:

They emphasize the need of fighting NOW to stop what's going on EARLY, before things get really bad.

Seems like ICE is being overwhelmed.

And these "concentration camps" are quick, make-shift jails.

Most people want to lower the number of arrests, but how?

Possible Solutions:
1. Trump has proposed increased funding for ICE.
2. Following Trump's car tariff threat, Mexico has beefed up border check police (increased stop and inquire about vehicle occupants now. Some Mexican officers doing specific "people check").
3. Trump's threat to cut foreign aid is supposedly causing "good faith" efforts to discourage illegal immigration.
4. Trump's deterrent WALL is still moving forward.
5. Trump has hired more immigration judges in two years than was done in the previous seven years, which may help adjudicate arrests sooner.

The whole thing is BS. This is happening because Trump has convinced Americans to hate immigrants as much as he does. Just like Hitler convinced the Germans to hate the Jews

I mean seriously, WHY aren't Trump supporters bothered by that s**t? They always make excuses for it and for him.

And every time people point out how wrong that BS is the MAGAs always respond with "Blah! Blah! Blah! You liberals are the real racists! Blah! Blah! Blah! It's just fake news because it's not reporting how wonderfully surperior Trump is! Blah Blah! Blah!"

One thing I want to know. Are the migrants free to leave the camps to go back south of the border?

I think we all know the answer to that. Were the Japanese immigrants free to go back to Japan anytime during their time spent in internment camps? They weren't even released until a over a year after World War 2 ended.

If these hispanic immigrants were free to go back home anytime I doubt Trump would be seperating the children from their families.

Why? If they were allowed to, would that make their inhumane treatment OK?

Personally I think it at least beats the hell out of staying locked up in a concentration camp if they were actually allowed to go back home.

But come on, we all know they're not allowed to go back home. Nobody gets locked away with the option to return home anytime they want.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I could see where it was going. Because if the answer is yes, then I'm willing to bet you would begin blaming the migrants for the inhumane treatment: "Tough, if you don't like it, go home." Which is a very common conservative American response to such things.

That was presumptuous, judgmental and incorrect. My question is one genuine curiosity, which I was not planning on taking anywhere and I certainly would not make such a crass statement as you attributed to me.
