Hey, now that Mr. Boris Johnson has been voted in as the leader of the UK conservative's party, and has now officially been instated as the UK Prime Minister.

You guys at in the US can officially say, "Show us your Johnson!"

We’ve had Andrew Johnson and Lyndon B. Johnson as presidents, and in the past two presidential elections, we had a guy named Gary Johnson run.

Yes. We have had two Johnsons, and at least one Dick (Nixon).

You think that’s bad? Colorado used to have a governor named John Boehner, pronounced “boner”. Also, I saw a picture of Mr. Johnson and thought at first that it was someone doing a Donald Trump impression. It’s terrifying. How could Britain make this kind of mistake after seeing the hell the US has been through these past two long, dreary years?

Good job Jeremy Hunt didn't win as people seem unable to say his surname without changing the first initial , even on the news.

I'm not sure having a Johnson is better than having a Hunt :mrgreen:

If it's a German name then oe is spoken like ö, e.g. in Goethe. It's spoken like the u in 'occures' .
