It was a Google search. I can't remember exactly what search words I used but it was probably just a search for aspergers or autism. It might have been something along the lines of "aspergers never had a girlfriend" and I found a thread from here or something like that. I'm pretty sure I wasn't specifically looking for an autism forum though when I did the Google search.

I have actually found out, If I remember correctly, from a YouTube video of the site owner Alex Plank, where he discussed how his Asperger changed his life, and there was a link to the WrongPlanet forums. It was like 5 years ago, back when I had my old forum account.
However, I also found out about the site earlier than that through a random google search, but I didnt take part on the forums until I saw the YouTube video.

I was google searching but I can't remember the topic. I think it was a search about my aversion to sunlight, or possibly about feeling alienated all the time, and masking. I wish I could remember.

At the time I had no idea I was autistic. I remember that I saw the words "Wrong Planet" and I was like "yep, that's me...", even before I figured out what Wrong Planet was or what autism meant. I didn't even know what a forum was. This was my very first forum.

The first member I noticed and read was AuntBlabby.

During my assessment process I googled “Aspergers forums” and this site came up first.

I don't remember given I was 16 when I joined Wrong Planet, but it was likely a Google search.

Google search. I was probably looking for info on women with aspergers. There wasn't that much on the subject at the time.

Possibly through researching another mental health related site, such as psych forums, which I was definitely doing around 2006, which was about the time I discovered WP. That site had an Aspergers sub-forum, and that probably led me to WP. I think one or two members of the psych forums site were also WP people.

I will never be able to thank you enough for doing so, Alex. You've changed many lives including mine for the better. Thank you again.

My path to WP came about in a way similar to Isabella's.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a heart-felt thank you!

When I first started to really realize what has been going on with me my whole life, I went on a massive internet search spree, (in addition to reading every book I could find), so I found this site either through Google or Duck Duck Go. And it was reading the posts here that I really connected with the most (picture a middle-aged woman leaping around her house, shouting "I never knew anyone but me did that!") Even better, it transformed my mental concept of "autistic" from a bewildering and frightening list of clinical symptoms into... just a bunch of individual human beings.

Thank you, Alex! I never expected WP to change me when I happened upon it when I was 16.

Thank you, Alex. I never knew others had the same or similar characteristics as I do. WP has helped me put my life in perspective.

I found the site through google searching on aspergers.

Asperger teens yahoo group when it first opened, someone shared the link there. Search engine the second time when I was looking for Asperger forums to join. I had forgotten about this place.
