Where do you find safe? The places you go to if you feel you need a break.

My home. I took the kids biking yesterday and every time they paused, I was highly agitated (passing cars, people out and about). Just get on your bike and go home!! ! Deep breath.

A quiet or contained place in the library.

That's it for me. What are yours?

When we get lots of people visiting like yesterday where most if my brothers kids were here (Six came and my brother which makes seven) I find myself closed off in my bedroom. I lie in my bed and wait for the day to be over. Yes, I love the kids, but these days I find I can't cope like I used to. No idea why. I don't seem to get recharge times because people turn up on my days off.
I have places I like which are safe to go to but they are not near here. Some places are stunningly beautiful. :)

My room, the shower and with my horse.

I don't typically think of as the shower as safe but I do a lot of decompressing there; so that must mean I feel safe there.

Practically anywhere where I'm allowed to sit down and close my eyes without a worry of being nabbed or pulled away is enough for me.
So, it's even better if I never brought anything worth stealing, or any company to drag to or being dragged by.

Safer places for me are somewhere that would do have walls or structures that at least dull the signs and sounds of the outside world.
An alley or some wall would do. A room, anywhere surrounded by nature, or somewhere where solitude is possible is just better.

The safest place for me would be the bedroom with everything else closed off and locked.

Some places are more dangerous than others

But there is no "safe place"

School shootings, movie theater shooting, church shootings

Burglary from house

"Safe" from what?

Cops, CIA, rapist, mugger, homophobic lil dipshits, IRS

Usually it is easy to look up someones home address on the internet

If someone wants to shoot you with a gun, that is easy for them.

"Home" might appear "safe" but it is not as "safe" as it seems

I always spent a lot of time in my room. When I was a kid I had TV, video-games, & stereo in there. I got computer & net after I graduated & I like spending time on forums like this one.

You must be, said the Cat, or you wouldn't have come here.
