My mother doesn't have arthritis anywhere, as far as I know. And she's 85 years old.

My knee arthritis is caused by my running in the 1990s.

I was slow to average in school. I was chubby.

Became pretty good at sprinting in my teens and 20s. Then gained weight.

Lost the weight in my 30s and did long-distance running-marathons at an average pace.

Hurt my knee as a result of long-distance running and just plain age.

My school used to have a cross country run at Christmas. I came last three years running... then I got a permanent sick note.

I did a cross-country race once when I was supposed to be a "good" runner.

One of the worst runs of my life. Got really dirty from falling....
