Quote:
Whether it is the result of anecdotal evidence or gender stereotyping, the belief that women are better at multitasking than men is very prevalent.

In fact, in a 2015 survey, 80% of the respondents were convinced that women had better multitasking abilities than men.

But what does the science say?

New research busts this myth.

Let's see ... right now, I'm having my truck's oil changed ... I'm brewing coffee in the automatic coffee-maker ... I'm listening to jazz on the radio ... I'm having my secretary look up some old invoices ... I'm watching my staff carrying out their assignments ... I just broke wind ... and I'm holding my breath.

Wow! Seven tasks at once! What a multi-tasker I am!

They needed the results of the study to support the assertion women are no better at multitasking than men.

See, they could have just called me and used the funding for something else.

Or just given you the money to run your own study and arrive at the same conclusion.

I suck at multi-tasking.

I know women who suck at it, and men who are good at it.
