Just like what happened in Charlottesville.

In this incident, the truck was barely moving forward.

The guard was just trying to get to his job.

The protestors had ample time to get out of the way of a moving truck.

So, no arrest made.

Next time someone needs to stand their ground.

I don't see how a rational mind can claim that flimsy people are 'blocking' a 2 ton ( or whatever ) truck. A Kevlar vest stands a decent chance of blocking a bullet. THAT is blocking something. A flesh and bone human standing in front of a truck knows they have no chance of impeding the forward motion of a truck. So, it's a set up. They know they don't stand a snowball's chance in hell, but they'll sue you if you inch forward (giving them every possible chance to step out of the way). They aren't going to side with the protesters, mark these words. They will probably throw them in jail and send them a bill from the hospital.

Ah yes, that ridiculous expensive American health care that nobody can afford

No wonder Americans use the Staff of Cadacues for their symbol of medicine. A staff of the Greek God Hermes which had NOTHING to do with healing but of greedy merchants and thieves.

It's a fitting symbol of American medicine for sure!

While people are arguing about whether to deport or let them stay, nobody is talking about changing the laws--which we need to do.

In Australia the truck driver would be prosecuted for endangering life. No brainer.

BLM (Black Lives Matters) protestors would do "die ins" on the freeway near me. They would lay on the freeway and totally shutdown traffic on the freeway.

I would think that anyone who ever sat hours in a traffic jam, because of these people, would have a negative opinion about traffic blocking protestors.

It's not safe.
It's not smart.
It upsets people.
It makes people hate you.

Debrief from home, via video chat. Skip the office building, then the protesters can protest and nobody gets run over.

In America do protestors need a license to march on main streets?

If they do, they must be independently wealthy. Another question: how do these people have the time/money to protest? Most of us would have to ration our food for the week if we missed one day of work. Just another reason to be disgusted and contemptuous of individuals with the time and freedom to laze about.

Americans frown on the idea of standing up for human rights or looking out for somebody else. They think that equals communism.

I disagree. I respect the individual who witnesses an act and steps up immediately. Any doofus can show up for a flash mob, with signs and chants. Dogs run in packs... so in essence it is a form of communism. Because alone, none of these cowards would possess the courage of their convictions. I respect the power of one, to me that's courage.

There is strength in numbers. Nothing wrong with that at all. One person cannot change injustice.

There's intimidation in numbers, that's different than strength. Intimidation only lasts as long as the opposing sides are in contact. Injustice is fought daily, not by protests. By addressing it consistently, face to face, on the front lines of life. And it may not change the landscape for everyone, but it will make the enemy think twice before they try and harm the 'one person' again.

Just my opinion...

If that's what the law is then yes, the laws are made by no brainers.

And it's MY opinion that most Americans lack empathy and compassion for their fellow man, which is exactly why we are in this mess.
