Not a ham operator, because I would feel awkward talking into a microphone. But I do love to play around with old radio stuff, and the like. I have a couple of Collins radios, R390A and R388, among others. When I was growing up, decades ago, my bedroom was also a laboratory, where I fixed old radios and TVs, did chemistry, made explosives, and all sorts of things. I suspect with all the chemicals, mercury lurking in the floorboard cracks, and so on, it would have been declared a major safety hazard by the modern standards...

Amateur Radio 'Extra' Class -- A_6__.

I work mostly digital modes and monitor voice modes.

KD7MYD, but not active. Last winter, I helped my husband (KI7RZ) build and install a Cushcraft R9 antenna, so he could get back up and running.
