The blog section being random

I asked Alex this quite a while ago, but he acted like he didn't seem to know the answer to this.

Back in my first tenure here when I was still in school, I noticed that you could access any member's blog of your choosing who had one. You cannot do this anymore.

Instead, the blog page lists members' random blogs in no particular order.

What led to this change, and why did everyone think it was more beneficial to restructure the blog page this way?

Where's the blog page? Do you mean the main page of the Wrong Planet website itself, or some other page?

It's been gone for months, perhaps years. Alex likely purged it due to lack of general interest.

Check out the "Autism News" section instead, and maybe submit an article yourself.
