Assumed AS/OCD traits from other individuals.

After work, supporting a guy with AS and OCD I would look at a plate of food and it seemed all wrong in terms of shapes and colors.

I see my (supposedly) NT relatives hand flapping, obsessing, running around with a peculiar gait.
(this is someone who sees social opportunities and engages very well with peers but has two AS siblings)

Without analyzing the examples above please, have you observed similar patterns and influences?

Yes. Many times. I am NT. After many years with my (aspie) husband, I have a direct, literal way of speaking that seems to come off as rude with other NTs.

I have noticed that our five year old also copies some of his dad’s ways and mannerisms, including the autistic ones. Sometimes I don’t notice that something that my husband does or says is not socially acceptable until our son starts doing it too.
