I thought her testimony seemed contrived.
I mean ... who hasn't walked into the wrong bathroom and immediately realized their mistake (even when no one else was in there)?

So let me get this straight: She parks on the wrong floor, then proceeds to the wrong floor of the building where she finds what she thinks is her own door unlocked, apparently without first trying to unlock it (because then she'd find it's the wrong key). Rather than calling this in and requesting backup like the police officer she's supposed to be, she draws her service weapon and proceeds into the apartment. Paying no attention to her surroundings (again, not her apartment) she discovers the supposed intruder menacingly eating ice cream in a couch that isn't hers and watching a TV that isn't hers. Naturally outraged by the temerity of this intruder bringing alien furniture into her home, she immediately responds with lethal force, and the proceeds to sext with her boyfriend/police partner instead of performing CPR. Oh, and she called 911 at some point.

Uhm... this is most overt use of lethal force by any human being , and the details ,involved actually makes this situation all the more abhorrent .
How did this particular individual make it onto any police force anyway.?
Actually good excuse to remove firearms from , normal patrol officers .
Acting responsible is duty of all in public . Imho.
And the entire dept there should be shouldering responsible especially her immediate supervisor ..for the concept that he might remotely expect any officer to be a less than over reactive person , if forced to do overtime .
Stress of police work on its best day .Has got to cause some stress in a person.
When you have persons charged with general safety of the public . Would you want them to be best mental shape possible ?. NOoooo , am not trying to excuse her actions but am wanting responsibility of this to be carried by all responsible parties . Ie. Management of local P.D.

Loves velcro,
One of the reasons that she got convicted of murder instead of manslaughter was her unpopularity with the jury.Because she was having an affair with a married man, this made her look bad and that weighed heavely on whether or not the jury believed her testamony.
