Is it a myth or not that a lot of women really dislike men with aspergers?

I don't think "dislike" is the right word.

I would say women can get irritated by Aspergian men at times----but I also find that women are, at the same time, fascinated by Aspie men. This is what I've experienced as an autistic man.

All that doesn't make for an ideal relationship----but it is what it is.

I don't think NT women like us. Aspires have to really try to be more outgoing with them..which gives a false impression.

Its the wrong question to ask.

The question to ask is "are aspie men at a disadvantage in competition for women?".

The answer to that is "yes". Like we are at a disadvantage in job interviews, we are also at somewhat of a disadvantage with ladies because of our impaired social skills. But like any other disadvantage you can learn to overcome it.

I think it is less of a disadvantage than having to live with your parents.

Screw society. I don't go by what society dictates.

If I did, I would have still been a virgin, and still been unable to drive a car.

It's a myth! Women dislike creepy dudes. So it's a matter of how men present. Least I think so.

I think women can get annoyed at all men, but when they get annoyed at an aspie man they tend to scapegoat and blame it on his autism.

I would only date a Neurodiverse guy. Please realise that autistic women are at a disadvantage in relationships, too. It's not easy for any of us to find partners, but it's not impossible.

Myth.

However, many women do tend to shy away from men who are needy, lack confidence, and/or behave in ways that are inappropriate to the situation at hand. You don't have to have AS to display these behaviors, so it is not as if women have some form of "psychic radar" that is tuned specifically for AS.

Not a myth at all.

They are just as sick of me as I am of being ignored. I don't date anymore, ever, because I have never had my trust reciprocated. People in general actually really hate autistic people, it's merely political correctness to say otherwise. The only positive thing about ASD in NT eyes is our professional abilities. If they can't make money off us we are meaningless. I don't trust one living person for anything & that's been a best practice for me.

Godammit! You're much better looking than I am. And smarter, too.

And you know about cars and computers----two things I know little about.

I wish I had what you have.

If a woman has never said to you, "I dislike you because you have Asperger's Syndrome", then you have no proof that she dislikes you because you have Asperger's Syndrome!!  If you think otherwise, then it's just an assumption on your part, and this is just another misogynistic "I can't get a date" thread.

 Sheesh!
