He's a career politician and 100% vested in the establishment. People thought he was an extreme hardliner who eschewed the establishment. Wrong. The establishment is theater. There are players on the left, the center and the right. They're all in the same troupe.

Maybe Bradley Byrne or Tommy Tuberville will get the nomination. Anyone but Sessions or Moore.
