How many people like rain? I think thunderstorms can be loud for other people.

I didn't use to mind rain, but then I moved to the North-West of England a dozen years ago, and since then I've revised my opinion. It rains all the year round here, often every day for weeks on end. Where I lived before (in the South-East of the country), if it was raining heavily outside, you could wait half an hour or so before going out, and there would probably be no more rain for several hours, or even the rest of the day. Here it just goes on for hours, and it's very depresssing.

I've been waiting for most of this month for a workman to come and paint certain exterior parts of my house, but he's been unable to do so because the weather forecasts can't guarantee a rain-free day.

I'm on the fence. Rain was the culprit of a few fun events(baseball games, field trip, etc.)being postponed/cancelled when I was ages 9-12(Sometimes I would throw a big fit during those years, especially), but nowadays I don't really associate myself with things that would need the weather to be nice enough to even happen. And I'm way more capable of handling things like that. There was one instance just months ago when I was at a training for my new job. When we were given a 30 minute break, I went out to my car, tilted the drivers seat back and laid down. It was pouring rain and the rain falling on the roof of the car was very soothing as I laid down for a bit.

I actually love being upstairs on a cold rainy day, listening to music on the gramophone, maybe drinking tea, and writing in my nook. Just recently I fixed up a 1920s electric heater of the "parabolic radiator" type so it should be extra cosy up there!

Writing is a hobby that happens to get some stuff done. I enjoy the quiet surroundings, and for some reason rain is so relaxing to look at. Maybe if I was cold & wet all the time I'd hate it but I do like it even when I get cold & wet.

(Disclaimer: As I don't much care for cold water, I go out in rain wearing a waterproof trench coat and carrying a big black umbrella. If I loved it more I'd be wallowing in it...but there are limits to my precipitation proclivities.)

I love the rain, especially when it's raining.

I like lots of variety in the weather so rain is fine by me as long as it doesn't rain all the time. Where I live in the north west of England the weather is very changeable which makes it very interesting. The only downside is that there aren't enough thunderstorms.

I like rain as long as it's not pelting my face.

Assuming I don't have to be out and about in it, I'm quite the pluviophile.

It rains a lot where I live so I'm more or less used to it. It gives me a good excuse not to go outside. When it's sunny out you get pressured to outside even if you'd rather not.

I love the rain, it’s raining now, it’s been raining on & off all day. I fell asleep in my chair, the cold made me sleepy.
