What are you making for Christmas Eve or Christmas?

I’m doing ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli with cheese sauce, maybe baked corn, homemade bread, and cheesecake and brownies for dessert.

Prime rib, corn, taters 'n' gravy, salad, garlic-fried rice, and maybe some home-made bread if I can remember how to run the bread machine.

Mrs. Fnord is in charge of the Dessert Department.

My finger-joints are getting too gnarly for me to comfortably knead dough.  It's even getting difficult to play an instrument.  The bread machine is a handy tool.

Christmas Eve traditions in our family include something called "Simbang Gabi".  It's a Filippine tradition when you prepare a lot of food and essentially open your house to friends, family and neighbors.  Lots of lights, lots of noise, and I'll probably join Naia the cat in a back room every now and then to decompress.

Personally, I'm treating Christmas Eve, Christmas, and today (the eve of Christmas Eve) similar to how I've treated this holiday season. LINK on WP thread for further details: viewtopic.php?t=382875

I’m having Persian food & watching TV.

I baked bread this morning, gluten free since my older sister can't handle gluten, but other than that, mom has handled everything. I could still chop up a salad though...

Also Christmas day is my mom's birthday, so I'll bake a cake in the morning while she's still at work.

Some dessert made of marshmallows and rice crispies... Dunno what it's called.

My wife is baking a cake from scratch and homemade frosting.

AHH, this thread is focusing on food. Okay, scones, coffee, wine AND/OR beer, and apples OR oranges. Fruit is both refreshing and healthy after even moderate helpings of those unhealthy holiday treats!

We're just having pasta and sauce tonight, don't know about tomorrow. We always go to visit family in Chicago the day after Christmas, so we don't do a big Christmas dinner because we don't want leftovers sitting in the fridge for a week while we're gone.
