I'm a proud Republican deplorable with AS. Stuff like this gets to me. Not everyone on here is a liberal and I wish people would keep politics off sites like this. I thought this site was for discussing Autism issues not politics. I don't hate liberals I just don't agree with them. Anyway a movie about killing people because you don't agree with their point of view is moronic. It just says so much about how intolerant people are. Do we really want another Civil War? The violence and hate needs to stop.

My concern isn't so much that people will get offended (that's a risk that comes with freedom of speech/religion/expression), as it is that someone might try to emulate a scene from the movie and commit violence against a political opponent.

Right. Reluctant pro-life Deplorable here (he was better than Clinton) and I agree entirely that it simply showcases violence & will tend towards furthering that gap in society. Nice to hear of another Trump-voting Aspie, by the way. There are a few of us on here.

Still, I feel poking fun at the idea is better for us than worrying. The film hasn't hit theaters yet--if anyone has seen it let me know whether it's a standard-issue dystopian picture, or if we ought to worry.
