Any sort of social interaction from strangers is difficult.

Even if it's about a topic I love, my anxiety goes crazy and I'm constantly wondering if I'm behaving as the social norm intends I do. I want nothing more than the social interaction to stop, even if I love talking to that person and want to keep talking, it's just a battle. Does anyone else deal with this? I hated going to work and dealing with others or doing a single thing that required social interaction. I really only have one person who doesn't stress me out at all to talk to, who is my best friend. By the way, this social distancing from corona is really doing me so favors... I hope it's not too bad for those it affects negatively though.

I'm sorry you have both dealt with that! I wonder if I have more confidence I'll be able to have better interactions then...

Yes, confidence really helped me with talking to strangers. If you sorry too much that you're awkward you will only get more awkward.

I do need to stop saying sorry as much, it's just difficult.

I'm too afraid to look at their foreheads because I'm worried they'll notice I'm not giving them eye contact.

their is a part not getting addressed here .. used to be anykind of interaction , especially with strangers always initiated a instant fight or flight response in me. Now many years later this doesnt happen anymore..but not yet willing to lend trust to any nt strangers or ?, cause of prior experiences.
but can go on and on about topics know of well.
