No (besides the occasional drink) and I wouldn't want to.

I've got free bus fare before from a couple of my favourite bus-drivers.

I haven't. Men don't seem to find me at all attractive in person, that might be why. I wouldn't want to get anything for free anyway, because it would make me feel awkward and like I owe the person something in return (which is probably the intent in some cases).

Yes and it’s nice cause they don’t really notice that you’re ND, they just see an attractive lady and they go for it, which I find as an advantage, even though most women complain of being objectified. I always tried to be pretty in school to make up for my quietness

Some food when I was often nearly starving during college.
I guess it counts as a different situation, though.

Does it count that when I've bought something from an independent sales man, they've sometimes added something free as a bonus? Or are we talking about something that comes completely out of nowhere?

I have twice I think. Both times were Pret but different people. Once I went to get a muffin and some stuff for my mum and the barista let me have all the stuff for free, I'm assuming it was because it was the end of the day. It was a little awkward though because he didn't explain and was struggling with sorting it out in the machine so I had to stand there for about 5 minutes with my card out as he struggled withe the machine before telling me I didn't need it. The other time it was a Pret I went to regularly and I was going for the last almond croissant and the person there just let me have it for free.

I don't accept free things from strange dudes who I don't want to spend time with. In my experience free drinks and other gifts (tangible or service) actually come at the steep cost of my having to be good company. For me it is seldom worth it.

Is it really free though...

I mean would they treat you differently if your husband was stood beside you, holding your hand etc. Most likely.

Yeah guys have bought me drinks in the past, but the last one was spiked, so you know... not so free.

When I was married, I used those rings as a symbol of my unavailability, more than a few chaps would interpret that as an opportunity for no strings attached fun. What did they know about me? Nothing. They knew what they wanted though and moved onto the next potential fun times gal.

In this context nothing is free from strangers or mostly anyone else for that matter, there is always an expected exchange or opportunity being sought.
