Alejandro Ripley was taken outside of a Home Depot in Miami, Florida on Thursday night. An Amber Alert issued for him has since been canceled.

One of the Home Depot's employees had told WSVN that Ripley was abducted after two unknown men rammed their vehicle into his mother’s car. The Miami-Dade Police Department also said Ripley has autism and is non-verbal.

“The passenger of the vehicle exits the vehicle, approaches the mother, and demands drugs," Miami-Dade police detective Angel Rodriguez also told reporters. "The mother is insisting that she does not have any drugs. And so the passenger at that point reaches in, grabs her cell phone, steals her cell phone, and takes her child."

Officials described the suspects as two black males – one of which may have been wearing all black clothing and a black bandana over his face. They fled the scene in a light blue sedan.

"We are very sad to report that the child was found deceased," the Florida Department of Law Enforcement tweeted Friday morning

Florida does have the death penalty, don't know if one murder would qualify, maybe because it's a child that could be a aggravating factor.

I don't believe the story.

Who takes drugs to Home Depot?

Why would anyone suspect she has drugs?

Why would a druggie abduct a child?

Why would these druggies ask for "drugs" and not be specific about the type of drugs they want?

That can't be how they talk.

People bring drugs everywhere, people desperate for drugs will do crazy things to get them.

More than likely the abduction was caught on Home Depot's security cameras.
But, when people need drugs, they no longer care about stuff like that.

I think it's likely, the "kidnappers" are two family members, who are not black.

I think this was pre-planned so the car will not be identifiable.

Were the perps armed?
If someone tried to unbuckle my nine year old from their seatbelt I'd kill them with my own two hands.

Only way I can make sense of it is if the mother was a known user, and the goons were in the employ of her dealer. Otherwhise it seems quite weird.

I think the mother might be 'in on it.' No proof, just a feeling.

Folks...this happened in Miami. Anything can happen in Miami. Remember the jokes about "Florida Man?" Well, Miami is Florida on steroids. If anything, this story is not quite weird enough for Miami. You can never take a story from Miami and think, nah...couldn't happen that way.

Whatever it was, I grieve for the boy who must have been terrified before losing his life.

I am a little confused unless the home depot CCtv cameras did not pick up the incident

The police are not issueing much but beyond what the OP posted except:

The two men allegedly followed the victim and his mother verbally demanding drugs prior to getting into their cars

The mother told them she had no drugs

The men chased them in the carpark hitting her car (no word if the vehicle was blocked)

They then took items from her car including the boy (you would think she would click the door lock?)

As far as can be told she is the only witness claiming the perpetrators were black males and the home depot employee says he saw the abduction but did he corroborate the mother's claims?

Investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in locating Alejandro Ripley and in identifying the individuals involved.

Officials described the suspects as two black males – one of which may have been wearing all black clothing and a black bandana over his face. They fled the scene in a light blue sedan.
How exactly were members of the public supposed to identify 2 black random males??

That boy, obviously, should not have had his life snuffed away like that.

Whoever did this should be hung by the balls for life.

The two alleged suspects blue sedan number plate wasn't posted which is why I suspect the mother was the only witness
