This dude worked in a hospital as an EMT...hard to believe he can be so dumb to wear this shirt in public??

He also got fired from the hospital he worked in

Can conservative bosses fire their liberal employees for things they do and say off work that go against their conservative ideas?

Your answer better be yes. Not anything about how it violates said liberals rights.

I don’t think people should be hired or fired for anything not work related.

Did this guy do a good job as a emt?
Now if it was shown he discriminated against hurt people that’d be grounds for firing.
I don’t think you should be fired for doing or saying something your boss doesn’t agree with while off the clock.

Something/k like that is a crime against society.
Any group that promotes hate should be reprimanded.

I used to work as a hospital lab tech back in the 1980s and actually worked with EMTs, its a fairly specialised role so the guy is at least university educated in a biomedical field. Second to be working in a major hospital he must be good at his job. So the answer is likely yes.

But you agree,
His T-shirt is unacceptable?

I see no irony/dark-humour in this.

We dont see the whole print. Maybe there's a "sucks" at the very bottom?

He must know himself it's unacceptable to wear in public, hence the "darren" tag

In 2017 there was a paramedic in this country who was fired because he made posts etc on social media saying that the fires tearing through a town on the southern coast, were because the town accepted gay people and hosts an annual Pride Weekend / Pink Loerie Festival.

Well he'd certainly qualify to be on Karen/Darren registry

Tell me if I am wrong,
But doesn't a Karen = a hysterical woman?
I see no hysteria with our Darren.

The lingo seems to be American social media...Darren rhymes with Karen...no slur on our local Dazzas

Of course yes - here we usually pronounce Karen like "car".

One of my friends in that town was lucky as virtually all their neighbours' places around them were razed - but they had to wait a long time for the electrical infrastructure to their place to be restored. Another friend was fortunate too as he and his wife had just bought an adjoining house to use as extra air Bnb and the fire just missed their places as well - they just had to repair some of their wooden deck that was scorched. Their street and some of those further up the hill fared badly.

Was quite the drama almost exactly three years ago. Thousands were evacuated to the sports grounds during the fire!

Having lived through bushfires in 2019 the last thing we need is some "Darren" telling us the fires are the wrath of god for allowing the gays to get married

This particular "Darren" is named Israel

Oh yes the Australian bushfires are much worse and on a regular basis. What South Africa endured in 2017 was a fortunately uncommon event that affected many people and properties in a stretch of over two hundred kilometres from Knysna and Plettenberg Bay as far as the Woodridge School outside Port Elizabeth.

Of course those who follow the biblical "end of times" would be jumping up and down about fire, floods, pestilence and disease coinciding with war, famine, fire, disease (COVID-19) and climate catastrophe....

Well there are rather a lot of people for the planet to support - I see India is just behind China population wise and will soon overtake it as there's a difference of under 50 000. We're out of balance and harmony with nature, especially considering Trump's disastrous response to all things green (unless it's a golf course...)

Boney M's song Don't Kill the World is even more relevant today than when it came out.
