Thank you all for the gentle welcome. It is nice to see I am not the only one here who...um...has had a lot of birthdays.

It appears my age is not being shown so:
- I am 65
- I received my diagnosis a couple of days before my 65th birthday

I was reluctant to join the forum because I thought it would be all hot shot youngsters with great computer skills. So I didn't post my age. After I while, I saw there are all kinds of people on the forum, including people who were older than I.

So I went aback to my account and put in my birthday and that posts my age.

Lots of us grew up when autism or even special ed wasn't even known about. We grew up knowing we were weird, but not knowing why we never fit in.

Welcome. The great joy for me here is all the different people and learning more about autism and how to cope.

I’m almost 60. Was “fortunate” enough to be diagnosed in the mid-1960s with autism.
