Trump's approval among African-Americans skyrockets
During the 2016 election, only 8% of African-Americans voted for Trump. A recent poll now shows Trump's approval among African-Americans is up to 36%. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/wash ... -democrats
Why do record numbers of black people support Trump?
Trump respects all races and treats everyone equally regardless of race instead of constantly pandering to minorities and treating them like they're an inferior race that needs special privileges to be equal to white men.
Trump supports black owned businesses instead of defending the criminals that riot, loot, and burn them down.
Trump supports Law & Order instead of defending the criminals that are responsible for 1,000 times as many black deaths as the police.
Trump condemns Marxist anti-black hate groups that claim black lives matter while ignoring the 99.9% of black deaths not caused by the police and supporting policies that would harm black people and increase black deaths.
Trump wants to give them a hand up, not a hand out.
Skyrocketing levels of crime in Democrat controlled cities due to Democrat politicians unwillingness to support the police.
Record levels of black people being shot and murdered in Democrat controlled cities as a result of less police presence in their neighborhoods
Constant and offensive virtue signaling by white liberals who claim they're helping black people while supporting policies that would hurt black people such as calling to abolish or defund the police that keep them safe.
They're tired of the blatant and open racism that's becoming increasingly common on the Left and want a president who respects them.
I'm gonna let you guys in on a little secret. Most of the black people I know hate both Republicans AND Democrats. You know why? Because both parties are ruled by rich white men like Trump and Biden. The same kind of people who abused them as slaves for centuries. This country is ruled by rich old white men. Or does the fact that we have only had one black president in the history of this whole nation not make it obvious to all ya'll?
Neither party truly gives a s**t about black communities. They pay nothing but lip service to get black people to vote for them but then they never keep their promises to rebuild black communities for the better.
That's part of the reason why we are having these BLM protests, because the plight of black people in this country is being ignored by both sides.

That's actually true! Finally someone gets it.

My thinking would be that it's understandable that african-americans might be disinclined to vote for someone who basically declared ownership of their racial identity.

Washington Examiner is not exactly an unbiased, impartial source. They've printed bs to further conservative narratives in the past.
And of course the Democrats take the support of the black community for granted. The party elites ignore their problems while paying lip service.
And the Republicans still lose their votes the vast majority of the time. What does that say about the Republicans? Republican politicians can't even be bothered to pay lip service or care more about black issues then Democrats. The only conservative counter to this I've seen is that the black community has been somehow collectively duped into voting democrat--which is more than a little condescending.
The Republican party is much too busy using racist dog whistles to keep the Solid South.

One has to wonder who is paying whom to promote the appearance of this so-called expanding "black support for Trump".
And for whose benefit?

What would they have to lose - It's not like the Democrats seem to do much for them other than portray them as being too weak to be able to do anything except take hand-outs, and too lacking in intelligence to do anything other than vote as they are told by their "betters".
Maybe they are starting to realize that doing the same thing every election had got them nowhere, and it may be time to try something different?

They have a lot to lose. The suggestion that they don't is demeaning and insulting. It's this kind of outlook that destroys the ability of the GOP to appeal to black voters.
It's centered around the idea that the black community are somehow collectively naive. It suggests that they take at face value anything and everything Democratic politicians tell them about what problems face their communities and how they should be fixed. They know their circumstances better than any white politician and they know it. They are not stupid enough to model their political beliefs based solely on what pasty beltway Democratic politicians tell them to. As much as white Democrat politicians are ignorant of the problems facing black americans, the average Republican politician is still worse.
They hear conservatives give those kinds of reasons for why they overwhelmingly vote Democrat and it's another reminder of why Republican candidates are so repellent to them.
