I never thought I would say this, but seriously, enough with the rain for a while. 8O

It's been overcast with bouts of rain all week here.
Last night was even cold. I was walking around with a dressing gown on.

I don't mind the heat, but I'm still enjoying the milder weather before summer comes in earnest.

Yeah.
It has been crazy kool weather for over 2 months now.
I hope it lasts, but with some, not a lot, of follower up rain.
Mushrooms are growing out of my ears. 8O

Australia set for another three months of above average rainfall with La Nina fuelled rains raising the flood risk this summer

Back-to-back La Nina events for the first time in a decade have culminated with one of the wettest springs on record, with above average rain to last for at least another three months, raising the risk of flooding this summer.

Sunny again in SE Qld, but still flooding in southern Queensland further inland.

It rained last night.
Not enough to fill the dams, however.

Oh, wait, the dams are already filled.

It was raining nicely when I got up and looked like it had set in.
I'm sitting on my front verandah now and it's bright sunshine and clear blue skies.
At least the garden got a good water.
Hope we get an afternoon storm or something.

It was pouring down last night, and it is pouring down right now!

The state government was debating weather whether or not to increase the height of Warragamba damn dam. It might be a good idea, since apparently, the rain that falls *will* reach it.

Dang, it's cold, in December! 8O
I've got my warm dressing gown on now.

Wet and cold.
It is like the weather I experienced 50 years ago as a kid.
Back then, we would have horizontal not vertical rain and it was "pitch black dark" at 4pm because of the dark clouds, coming home from skool.

I used to go across the road and get hot chips and a battered sav, come back, and sit in front of the open wood fire. 8)

This was supposed to be a fast day.
I am not sure it will end that way.

So much for Flannery's unending drought.

Maybe you guys could share that water with the western U.S?
