I just read that Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his role as Doctor Strange in the upcoming third MCU Spider-Man movie and he'll be taking over as Peter Parker's new mentor, a role that belonged to the now deceased Tony Stark and I gotta be honest I'm kind of a little mixed. Don't get me wrong I like Doctor Strange and I like the idea of seeing these two together again and I'm sure no matter what will happen it'll be entertaining but I kinda want to see Peter branch out on his own without some older guy guiding him. I mean is every movie gonna have Spider-Man be mentored by some older guy. Then again are there gonna be more movies considering the movie rights?

I seem to recall Spidey having an amicable relationship with Dr. Strange years ago.
